Meet Francine

"I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis 11 years ago and therefore was already mindful of what foods are healthy for me. I reached out to Chloe because one of the symptoms that is very difficult to correct is weight gain. I gained 22 lbs. in less than a year and for 11 years I was not able to lose any of that for any length of time. This extra weight was mostly around my belly and affected my movements, exercise and self esteem. I was 63 when diagnosed and for the first time in my life I was very uncomfortable in my body.

"I was surprised when Chloe identified the places I was getting sugar in my diet. From items sweetened with hidden sugars to refined carbohydrates. This was a challenge because mentally I thought I was eating healthy. Chloe helped me understand by explaining the science of what happens when these foods are eaten. She also helped me find new recipes so I could continue to enjoy food and eating while ensuring I’m working towards my multidimensional health goals.

"After the first 3-4 weeks I noticed I was sleeping a bit better and feeling more comfortable in my body. I was also enjoying the new foods I was making. I began to have more energy for exercise and weight training, which, with Chloe's support and guidance, I found myself doing more consistently. At the end of the 3 months I stepped back on the body scale and had lost 9 lbs., but I hadn't been focusing on weight loss!

"For anyone starting out on a Real Forking Change journey, I feel it's important NOT to approach this as a diet. It's about selfcare, about being your own good parent and making decisions for yourself that come from compassion. Chloe's guidance and support will get you there and then you can do it on your own. That's the best part."
