Can you love your body and still want to lose weight?

Yes, you can. At Real Forking Change, we believe the journey to releasing excess body fat, reaching your health goals, and maintaining your right-sized body long-term begins with loving yourself first.

I wish I had known that during my years of yo-yo dieting. Looking back, I see someone who was doing her best in a food environment and culture designed to set us up for failure. If, like me, you were born with a brain that’s highly susceptible to cravings for sugar, flour, and ultra-processed foods (UPFs), it’s easy to end up overconsuming them. Over time, this can lead to both short and long-term consequences for your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health.

“We come for the vanity but we stay for the sanity.”

When I finally reached my right-sized body, I realized it was never really about hating my size or appearance. What I hated was feeling out of control around food. No matter how hard I tried or how many promises I made to myself, I just couldn’t stop once I started. I felt ashamed of my eating habits and often hid them. The excess fat I carried felt like a visible symbol of that shame.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone—and there is a pathway out of this painful struggle. It doesn’t look like another diet. It looks like a journey of self-love and acceptance of what’s truly needed to finally leave this “problem” behind.

As we recover from diet culture, negative body image, and sugar/flour/UPF dependency, our bodies begin to rebalance. We release excess fat not through restriction, but by nourishing ourselves with Real Forking Food, managing stress and emotions in healthier ways, and returning to the kitchen.

This can be your story.

Reach out, and let’s start your Real Forking Change.
